Westmoreland Selectmen's Meeting Minutes

April 16, 2009

Present: Marjorie Merena, Russ Austin, Russ Kotfila, George Laine

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 on the dot by Marjorie Merena.

PUBLIC BUSINESS:
The Board would like to express its thanks to Pete and Wendy Petschik. They live at the intersection of Poocham and River Roads. They have cleared brush and trimmed tree branches on their side of the road. As a result, it is much easier to see any cars that might be approaching if a person is trying to cross over to Poocham Road.

The board acknowledged that the holiday tree on the Common, although lovely, and listing ever so slightly, should come down. Marjorie will ask Ted Furgeson to tend to the removal of the lights and tree.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
Russ Kotfila motioned to pass the accounts payable totaling $19,368.88. Russ Austin seconded the motion and it passed.

SELECTMEN'S MINUTES:
Marjorie moved to accept the minutes of the April 2 meeting. Russ K seconded the motion and it passed.

Russ A reminded Marjorie of her commitment to represent the Selectboard at Mary Ray's 114th birthday celebration. Marjorie will make a card to be signed by the board.

Judy Rancourt asked if South Village Common (road) could be closed on May 30 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the church yard sale. The Board approved the request.
