WESTMORELAND CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The March 5th meeting was called to order at 7:09 pm with Marshall
Patmos (Chair), Russ Martens (Secretary), Dick Schmidt, Ken Wright, Paula Page
(alternate), and Selena Gallen (alternate).
Minutes of the
Old Business
Water Resource/Property Line Maps from SWRPC –
Russ reported that he had not yet received the CD or invoice
from SWRPC. He read the correspondence that
he had with Mike Blair and said the materials should be received shortly.
Community Conservation Partnership –
Wetland Issues on Route 12 –
Senate Bill 381 Warrant Article –
It was reported that the Warrant Article was printed in the
Town Annual Report and
Roadside Clean Up –
Russ reported that he had received a letter from Litter Free
N. H. and had submitted and received a letter of authorization by the Selectmen
for the Commission to participate in the sponsorship of Town Clean Up Day. He reported
the Commission will be eligible to receive 800 bulbs in October. Flyers will be handed out at the town meeting
to promote turnout.

Westmoreland Conservation Commission
Russ reported that he reviewed the application and stated
that pictures and diagrams had to be submitted with the application. Since the materials weren’t available, we
would have to decline this year’s submission. It was recommended that for all future
projects pictures and diagrams be submitted at the end of each project.
Conservation Opportunities in the
A copy of the flyer from NH Audubon was given to Selectman,
David Putnam, to
place on the outside town bulletin board. The meeting is to be held on
New Business
Energy Costs for the Town of
Dick stated that he reviewed the town’s
annual report and compiled the actual costs for energy used at each facility. A
copy of the report was passed out and discussion followed. See below.
