Minutes

October 14, 2009

Present: Lauren Bressett, Bob Harkey, Jim Starkey, Jeff Smith, Jim Ranson, Russ Kotfila.

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM

Minutes of September 8, 2009: Change meeting start time to read 7:08 PM. Bob Harkey moved to accept the minutes with the correction. Russ Kotfila seconded, motion carried unanimously.

New Business: no applications

Russ Kotfila and Jim Ranson reported on the recent County Farm meeting they attended. Currently there are three County Farms and they are all losing money. During April 2010 the new jail will open and inmate transfers will begin. Many ideas for use of the County owned land were discussed.

Russ Kotfila moved to have the Chairperson write a letter to the County Commissioners and the Delegation requesting that they keep the Planning Board apprised of any plans pertaining to the County owned property in Westmoreland. Jim Starkey seconded, motion carried unanimously.

Jim Starkey moved to purchase newly updated Land Use Regulation manuals for each member of the Board (9) at a cost of $10.00 per. Jeff Smith seconded, motion carried unanimously.

Old Business: Continued review of proposed amendments to the current ordinances.
