WESTMORELAND SELECTMEN'S MINUTES
PRESENT: David Putnam, Wesley Staples, Marjorie Merena, George Laine, Mr. & Mrs. Mark Theiss, Ronald Fish and Tina Cutter
David Putnam called the meeting to order at
PUBLIC BUSINESS:
Ronald Fish was in to discuss a hollow tree that is on the
town side of his property. He's concerned about it falling. David Putnam asked
Tina to inform Gary Hudson so he can contact a tree service to come and take it
down.
Mr. & Mrs.Mark Theiss were in to inform the Board that his neighbor has
clear cut every tree up to his property line, The Board explained to Mark that
that would be Civil matter. Mark also made the Board aware that his neighbor's
yard looks like a junk yard and the junk is blocking the right of way. David
Putnam explained that the Board will write him a letter asking him to clean up
his yard and also include a copy of the towns
ordinances regarding blocking the right of way.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
Wesley
Staples moved to approve the Accounts Payable Manifest in the amount of $31,646.23 Seconded
by David Putnam. All in favor, so voted.
SELECTMEN'S MEETING MINUTES of
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board of Selectmen discussed renovating the Selectmen’s Office, the office is in need of more space. There was one response to the notice posted for carpentry work.
Marjorie expressed to the Selectmen that putting the Town
Hall heat on a programmable thermostat would save heating oil. It had been
noticed that the heat is running on high at times when no one is using the
hall. Marjorie will look into having the thermostat replaced.
OLD BUSINESS: The
Board of Selectmen received a letter from Attorney Sam Bradley regarding a
Petition to lay out
David Putnam moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:35 PM. Seconded by Marjorie Merena. All in favor, so voted.
