WESTMORELAND PLANNING BOARD

Meeting of May 08, 2007

 

Present:  Lauren Bressett-Chairperson, Laurie Burt, Nancy Zeller, Jim Starkey, Bob Harkey, Bruce Smith, Wesley Staples, and Alternate Walter Durjue.

 

Chairperson Lauren Bressett called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Changes were made to the minutes of the April 10, 2007 meeting. Jeff Starkey to Jim Starkey and class 6 to class 5.  Wesley made a motion to approve the minutes as changed.  Seconded by Bob Harkey.  All in favor.  So moved.

 

Ian Dewey and Elizabeth Dewey were present regarding a proposed subdivision of the Hunt Road.  The Board went through the checklist for a subdivision approval.  A motion was made by Bruce Smith to accept the application.  One Driveway permit was submitted at last months meeting.  A driveway permit was requested for both lots.  Mr. Dewey will see the road agent and submit the second driveway permit.  Erosion control was discussed.  The Board waived the erosion sediment section of the permit.  Discussion followed of concerns at the Selectmen meeting regarding the lower part of Hunt Road and bringing the road up to standards- 20 feet width, ditches 4 feet and culverts, at the entrance of Route 63 onto the Hunt Road.  Also asphalt surface for the road was discussed.  Mr. Dewey asked why the road should be fixed up for one house and was told there is potential for other lots.

 

Wesley Staples made a motion to accept the plan with stipulation to upgrade the road and culvert.  The upgrade section above the main house to road agents specifications, and to have the second driveway permit submitted.  Jim Starkey seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

 

Broadridge LLC-  A special exception for a shared driveway was accepted by the Zoning Board of Adjustment.  Broadbridge needs one more driveway permit for back lot.  Three driveway permits were submitted.  When the fourth driveway permit is submitted the Mylar will be signed by Lauren and Elaine and filed with the Registry of Deeds.

 

Bob Harke and Nancy Zeller attending a Planning information meeting on May 5th and shared information with the Board regarding the meeting.

 

It was noted that the Jaffrey Master Plan was reviewed by Roger Hawke.  Board discussed having Mr. Hawke review the Westmoreland Mater Plan.

 

The Board worked on Planning Board procedures.

 

Wesley moved to adjourn the meeting.  Seconded by Bruce Smith.  Meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
