WESTMORELAND SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

January 04, 2007

Present: David Putnam, Wesley Staples, Elaine Moore, Ed Haslick, Gary Knight, Curt Richmond, Jan Carpenter, and Stephen Seraichick.

Chairman David Putnam opened the meeting at 7:00 PM.

Gary Knight and Curt Richmond of G& S Tree were in to discuss giving a quote on the Debis Cleanup on Route 12. The Board has applied for and received permission to enter the brook in certain areas. The Board also applied for an extension of time for Debris Cleanup to January 31 and this was also approved by the State. Chairman David Putnam will contact loggers requesting quotes, which will be opened on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 4:30 PM.

Jan Carpenter was in for the Historical Society. On January 29, 2007 the corner School will be designated as a NH Historical property. Chairman David Putnam signed necessary paperwork.

Jan Carpenter also discussed a letter from the Historical Society to the Board of Selectmen asking to place a warrant article to print about 300 copies of the Westmoreland Town History and Genealogy. After obtaining three quotes it appears the cost will be $7,000. the Selectmen approved placing the article on the warrant.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Chairman David Putnam moved to approve payroll in the amount of $19,104.66. Seconded by Wesley Staples. All in favor, so voted.

NEW BUSINESS:

James Poulette Abatement Application was received. Board of Selectmen will review and contact Mr. Poulette with decision.

Fred & Christine Hadlow – Abatement request was received by the Board. After review the Board approved having the Town Assessor review this application. The Board will review applications. If an application determination can be made by the Board they will handle it, if not the Board will have the Town Assessor review the application for his input.

Chairman David Putnam moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 PM. Seconded by Wesley Staples. All in favor, so voted.
