WESTMORELAND ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
August 14, 2007
Present: Peter Remy, Brenda Shelly, John Burt, Brian Merry, Barry Shonbeck and Russell Huntley.
Chair Peter Remy opened the meeting at 7:30 PM.
Steven Burt Hearing was brought forward. Mr. Burt indicted he would have to ask for a continuance as the day before the hearing he received paperwork from Attorney James Romeyn Davis, representing Mr. & Mrs. Anson Burt, requesting the ZBA deny the Applicants 4/14 application. Mr. Burt has asked for a continuance to discuss this latest development with his attorney. Chairman Peter Remy asked the Board if they approved continuing the meeting to next months meeting date. All in favor of the continuance. The Hearing is continued until September 11, 2007.
Mark and Karen Currier were in to discuss what would be needed for a Special Exception to build a home in a Commercial/Industrial Zone. The Board reviewed the criteria with the Curriers.
A Joint Hearing was held for Mark and Laura Edgington. They have applied to the Zoning Board for a Special Exception to build a residential home in a commercial/industrial area on Route 12, Map R15 Lot 40. The lot is an 11-acre lot with approximately 1000 feet of road frontage on Route 12. The Edgingtons presented their map showing the area in question and the Zoning Board reviewed all the criteria for a Special Exception. In meeting all the criteria, Barry Shonbeck moved to approve the Special Exception request, seconded by John Burt. All in favor, so voted. The Edgingtons then met with the Planning Board.
John Burt moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Barry Shonbeck. All in favor so moved.
Chairman Peter Remy closed the meeting at 8:10 pm.
