WESTMORELAND ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

September 24, 2008
Present: Peter Remy-Chairman, Brian Merry, John Burt, and Brenda Shelley. Absent: Barry Shonbeck and Russell Huntley.
Wilkes Construction Hearing: Doug Wilkes was present to represent Wilkes Construction. Wilkes Construction requests a Special Exception of Article V, Section 501-a, Table 502 #26. Applicant requests the Special Exception to have a single-family residence in a Commercial Zone. The single-family residence, on Mill Brook Road, has been there for several years. Applicant would like to subdivide property on Route 12 and Old Mill Brook Road, Map U1 Lot 5 into two lots. If the Zoning Board approves the Special Exception, the applicant will then appeal to the Planning Board for a subdivision.
Chairman Peter Remy explained to Mr. Wilkes there were only three members present to hear the request. Chair Remy informed Mr. Wilkes of his option to go forward with the members present or he could ask for a continuance until next Zoning Board hearing and have a full board present. Mr. Wilkes informed Chair Remy he would like to a continuance until next months meeting of October 22, 2008.
As there was no other business before the Board, Chairman Remy closed the meeting at 7:38 pm.
