Westmoreland Selectmen's Minutes
PRESENT:
Dave Putnam, Marjorie Merena, Russ Austin, Gary Hudson, Cindy Hatt,

Dave called the meeting to order at
PUBLIC BUSINESS:
Gary Hudson has received a complaint from a resident regarding some
road delineators that have been placed in the road by the owner(s) of
a residence on
The complainant feels that they are an illegal obstruction and wants
them removed before they cause damage to his vehicle. The selectmen
will send a letter asking for their removal.
Cindy Hatt voiced her concerns regarding the right-of-way usage
agreed upon in the Hatt vs. the Town lawsuit. The Town has agreed to
fund a survey of the land in question. However, because the cost for
this must be a part of the new budget, it cannot be done until the
Spring of 2009.
SELECTMEN'S MINUTES:
Dave moved to accept the minutes of October 23. Russ seconded the
motion and all approved.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
Dave moved to approve the accounts payable of $21,006.44. Marjorie
seconded the motion and all approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
John Lyford, the auditor from Mason & Rich, has emailed to Marjorie
the remaining information needed to complete the audit. The selectmen
have been asked for their written input on the audit. In order to
complete this, an extra meeting has been scheduled for Thursday,
November 13, at 9:00 AM. In addition to working on the audit
comments, the selectmen will also meet with Jim Rice to discuss some
questions on the current tax bills.
NEW BUSINESS:
Notice of intent to cut wood or timber: R12, Lot 63, South Village
Road, Steven and Maxine Houle
Notice of intent to cut wood or timber: R16, Lot 2, Daggett Hill,
Edward Yoerger
Resident donations to the Highway Department and to the Fire and Rescue Squad.
Invitation to the Community Conservation Partnership Meeting November
18 at the Westmoreland School at 6:30pm.
Tax Collector's Warrant - As requested by Cindi, the Tax Collector's
Warrant was previously signed on October 30, 2008. A copy of this
document will be attached to these minutes.
Copier Quote: A quote for a new copier in the office was received.
This possible purchase will be discussed when preparing the new
budget.
Marjorie will order led lights for the holiday tree that will be
placed on the common. Donations toward the cost are welcome.
LETTERS TO BE SIGNED:
Cemetery lots.
Equalization Municipal Assessment Date Sheets Certification
At 9:20 PM, Dave moved that the meeting be adjourned. Marjorie
seconded the motion and all approved.
