ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

 

October 09, 2007

 

 

Present:  Barry Shonbeck, Brenda Shelly, John Burt, Brian Merry, and Russell Huntley.

Absent:  Peter Remy

 

 

Barry Shonbeck acted as Chairman for Peter Remy.

 

Nr. Nicholas Gladke and Brian Robinson, representative from One Eleven Realty meet with the Board regarding the use of Building #2 in the Industrial Park on Route 12.  Mr. Gladke would like to have a retail business selling hot tubs, and using some of the space as storage for his landscaping business. Building 2 is the first one in on the right hand side.  Parking is available at Building #2.  Will be open six days a week.  There will be five employees with only one employee at the building during the day.  Lighting around the building in the evening is sufficient.  No outside storage. 

After discussion Barry Shonbeck moved to approve the request.  Seconded by Brenda Shelly .  All in favor, so voted.

 

Mark Theiss:    Came to the Board to place a 10’ x 16’ addition to the North side of his existing house.  The addition will be closer than the 20’property line limit.

Mr. George Malloy, an abutter was in to inform the board he was apposed to the addition.

After discussion  meeting was postponed until November 13, 2007 to give Mr. Theiss time to show proof the a section of the existing building was built before the March 9, 1999 Town Meeting regarding article two, section 206.  Non-conforming uses.

 

After further discussion the Board decided to continue the request of Mr. Theiss to the November 13 meeting.  All in favor.

 

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
