Westmoreland Selectmen's Minutes
August 21, 2008

PRESENT:

Marjorie called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.

PUBLIC BUSINESS:
Pete Davis, from the Southwest Regional Planning Commission, presented an overview of the Brownfields and CEDS (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) programs which focus on the redevelopment of abandoned or under used property and a "strategy" to fulfill requirements for the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) in order to be eligible for certain types of funding. The materials supplied are available in the Selectmens Office.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:

$103, 895.33 -approved as amended.

SELECTMEN'S MINUTES:
Russ motioned to accept the minutes of August 7, 2008. Marjorie seconded the motion. All in favor so voted.

NEW BUSINESS:
Letter from Walter Derjue: Letter of resignation from both the Planning Board and the Conservation Committee. A letter will be sent thanking Walter for his generosity of time and work on both committees

Marjorie related a complaint from the Postmaster regarding mice. Russ will deal with their eviction.

MS-1 form: Form was in regard to a time extension which we feel is unnecessary.
Letter to Town Clerk regarding Town Audit

Non-Public: From 8:45 to 8:50 the meeting was in non-public session.

Marjorie motioned that the meeting be adjourned at 8:55. Russ seconded the motion.
