WESTMORELAND
The meeting
was called to order at
Present were: Elaine Moore, Wesley Staples, David Putnam, Ted Ferguson, Marshall Patmos, Jeff Smith, George Duke, Walter Derjue, John Lukin and Tina Cutter.
PUBLIC BUSINESS:
NRCS – Jeff Tenley, representing Natural Resources Conservation Commission was in to discuss the cleaning of some of the brooks in town. At this time the State will pay 90% and the Town will pay 10%, which can be from in-kind. The Selectmen will be holding a meeting with property owners of lands designated for brook clean-up by the NRCC. More information to follow as soon as the Board meets with Holly Umphrey.
Richard Paul was in to inform the Board that he was displeased with them. Mr. Paul believes he should have been notified about the invitation to bid on the Bessie Bates Route 12 property. He expressed that he never saw the invitation to bid. The Board of Selectmen did not notify anyone regarding the invitation to bid; it was put in The Keene Sentinel for three days. This was the second round of bidding as the first bidding resulted in NO bids being submitted.
Bids for Route 12 Property- The bids were discussed. The high bidder sent in a letter to rescind his bid. This letter was accepted by the Board. Elaine Moore moved to except TJF Realty LLC bid for $23,755. Seconded by David Putnam. All in favor, so voted.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
David Putnam moved to approve the Accounts Payable Manifest in the amount of $43,171.66. Seconded by Wesley Staples. All in favor, so voted.
SELECTMENS MEETING of
NEW BUSINESS:
Pistol Permit – David Putnam moved to approve a pistol permit for Thomas McQuillin. Seconded by Wesley Staples. All in favor, so voted.
Pistol Permit – David Putnam moved to approve a pistol permit for Linda McQuillin. Seconded by Wesley Staples. All in favor, so voted.
Pistol Permit Application from Peter Staszko was given to Constable Cemorelis for review.
SWRPC Appointments: The Board of Selectmen moved to appoint the following:
Robert Harcke to the Brownfields Assessment Advisory Committee and to the Economic Development Advisory Committee. The Board will speak with Jim Blake to see if he still wants to be a member of the Natural Resources Advisory Committee.
OLD BUSINESS:
Landfill Worker : The Town is still looking for someone who is interested in working either part time or full time on Saturdays at the landfill.
Pandemic: Barbara Chase was in to present a check in
the amount of $900 from the

Waste: The Board of Selectmen have signed a letter of commitment with the City of
